1901 Census
The date of the 1901 census was the night of 31 March 1901. A schedule was delivered to every household in advance. The completed schedules were collected the following day, and copied into an enumerator's book. The books and schedules were then sent to the local registrar who in turn checked them and sent them to the Census Office (the original schedules were destroyed.)
